Wittenberg is excited to welcome the class of 2028 to campus for Destination Witt: New Student Orientation. Beginning Thursday, June 20, the University is offering several dates for first-time freshmen, transfer students, and their families to begin their successful transition to college life.
Designed to help students begin to see themselves as Wittenberg students, the program offers sessions on academic and student life, tours of campus, meetings with faculty and advisors, and the chance to connect with other students.
鈥淭he Destination Witt team is hard at work preparing for our summer orientation program to welcome the class of 2028,鈥 said Grace Sever, senior director for student success and academic services. 鈥淭his program is a critical part of the incoming student experience as we begin to acclimate to Wittenberg and get them ready for life at Witt!鈥
Required for incoming students, Destination Witt offers five dates on campus: Thursday, June 20, Friday, June 21, Saturday, June 22, Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. One-day programs begin with check-in from 8:15-8:40 a.m. and conclude by 4:30 p.m. Each session ends with an engagement fair that will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Health, Wellness & Athletics Complex.
鈥淪tudents and families attend the Engagement Fair to celebrate the day, connect with many departments and offices on campus, discover more information about what Wittenberg has to offer, and get questions answered,鈥 Sever said.
During these sessions, students also begin to make connections with their peers and learn valuable information about academics and the student experience at Wittenberg. Each orientation session will:
