Wittenberg Community to Gather for the Fourth-Annual Tree Lighting

Coming together to ring in the holiday season, the Wittenberg community will gather once again to celebrate the fourth-annual Wittenberg Tree Lighting on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Due to colder temperatures, the event has been moved inside to Post 95, part of the Benham-Pence Student Center.

The official tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Holiday music will begin with a kick-off performance by Wittmen Crew at 4:30 p.m. followed by the traditional 鈥楽ounds of the Season鈥 sing-along event at 4:45 p.m. This annual singing of favorite Christmas tunes is in partnership with the Office of Human Resources.

Other activities will include assorted holiday crafts, additional holiday music, and a make-your-own reindeer chow station with Chex Mix, chocolate, and other treats. Hot beverages and refreshments will also be available.

Looking ahead, another traditional holiday favorite at Wittenberg involving 鈥榣ight鈥 will take place.
