麻豆传媒色情片 Welcomes Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished Poet John Koethe

Award-winning poet John Koethe, professor of philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will give a reading of his work at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, in Ness Family Auditorium, Hollenbeck Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Koethe is the author of six books of poems, including Falling Water (1997), which won the Kingsely Tufts Award; The Constructor (1999), which was a finalist for the New Yorker Book Award and the Lenore Marshall Award, and North Point North: New and Selected Poems (2002), which was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. He is also the author of Poetry At One Remove: Essays (2001). During his distinguished career, Koethe has received Guggenheim and National Endowment of the Arts fellowships.

Koethe鈥檚 appearance is part of a bi-annual Ohio Poet Circuit Series, which was established more than 20 years ago and includes such Ohio colleges and universities as Kenyon, Muskingum, Ohio State, Otterbein, Ohio Wesleyan, Denison, Wittenberg, Miami and Cincinnati. These schools work together to select two poets to visit each year.

Question and answer and book-signing sessions follow each reading on the Ohio Poet Circuit Series. Both students and the community are encouraged to attend and participate.
