Communication & Digital Media Student Opportunities

We believe that learning occurs both in and beyond the classroom. Wittenberg offers a host of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, including several with special relevance to the study of communication and digital media:

Communication SpeakerCommunication & Digital Media Colloquia

Each semester, the faculty hosts recognized communication experts who travel to campus to meet with our campus community. Majors are required to attend these informative and interactive sessions.

Lambda Pi EtaLambda Pi Eta

is the national communication honorary society. Majors who maintain outstanding grade point averages while making significant progress toward their degree are invited to join. Special recognition and activities are extended to its members. Lambda Pi Eta is also dedicated to giving back to the community, and undertakes various service projects each semester to fulfill that goal.

Internships

With guidance from the Office of Career Services, students can secure internships in a variety of fields, including public relations, human resource management, and television and radio production, among many others. Students may apply for academic credit for these experiences.

Study Abroad

The Office of International Education can help students to identify a program that will take them abroad for a semester. Many of the credits in these programs are transferable, and previous students have studied in Australia, Austria, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Scotland and the United Kingdom.
