American International Association

AIA works to promote friendship and understanding among all people of the world with the American International Association. AIA hosts numerous events on campus to help both international and domestic students have a better understanding of the diverse cultures in the world. AIA provides opportunities for social activities and campus involvement that helps promote the understanding of different cultures.

The Brown Girls Club

The purpose of the organization is to connect current students with adolescents and youth in the community to develop a Mentoring Program within the cities of Springfield and Columbus. It will build a stronger sense of community among brown girls, while helping Brown Girls navigate life. With our Wittenberg students on campus acting as Mentors for the youth on and off campus as well by building relationships promoting diversity so no Brown Girl is ever left alone. Our purpose will be to help rebuild and sustain young girls' self-esteem both on campus and off campus, with a highlight on race and gender.

Concerned Black Students

It was in this activist environment that in 1969, black students at Wittenberg organized a Black Student Union under the name of Concerned Black Students (CBS) and began calling for Wittenberg to open its doors wider to black students, faculty, and staff as well as to offer courses in black studies. CBS remains a vital resource for minority students at Wittenberg. Recognizing that role, along with the tradition of activism and involvement, CBS remains committed to cultivating and promoting a campus that embraces diversity and inclusion and is open to all students who share that commitment.

Gender and Sexual Diversity Alliance

GSDA works to create a safe comfortable atmosphere for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered students with the Gender and Sexual Diversity Alliance.

Shades of Pearls

Shades of Pearls is a minority female organization that seeks to engage, empower and encourage the African American and Hispanic women on Wittenberg's campus with an emphasis on academic success, service, leadership and sisterhood.

Student Diversity Advisory Board

The SDAB is chaired by the Diversity Senator and membership is comprised of all culturally based student senators and other campus student representatives that have diversity, equity and inclusion as a focus. Each spring the SDAB hosts it annual Diversity Leadership conference focused on bringing students together for diversity and inclusion training.
